Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812

August 13, 2013

cometSo we went to see Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and I must say we had a BLAST!!

We were ushered in to Kazino, a specially built tent kitted out like a Russian Supper Club. We started the evening off with a vodka cocktail and small serving of delicious Borscht and then we ordered drinks. What came next was a feast for the eyes, ears and imagination.

We were suddenly thrust into a love/war drama straight from the pages of War & Peace. There were thrills, there was vicious fighting, an amazing opera smack in the middle, and great singing and dancing. We were brought into very close contact with each and every character in this supper club as they pursued different fates. The contact was so close that we were asked to pass a letter clear across the room to its recipient. We were poked and prodded and toasted by the players and we loved every minute of it! The musical numbers take you on a ride that goes from hot to cold, from funny to tragic and everywhere in between. Get yourself down to Kazino for a big show, a small supper and a really great time.

Cheers!
