It’s The Blue Note Jazz Festival!!

uenoteNow in its fourth year, this monthlong festival unfolds over more than a dozen spaces in the city. Among the coming week’s highlights: a trio run featuring Danilo Pérez on piano, John Patitucci on bass and Brian Blade on drums, through Sunday (at 8 and 10:30 p.m.) at the Blue Note club; the Dominican pianist Michel Camilo, playing solo at the Blue Note on Monday and Tuesday at 8 and 10:30 p.m.; the esteemed Japanese saxophonist Sadao Watanabe at the Asia Society, on Wednesday night at 8; and Ginger Baker, the grizzled rock drummer, celebrating the release of his new jazz album, “Why?,” at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. More details and a full festival schedule are at Blue Note, 131 West Third Street, Greenwich Village; B.B.
