ambDavid Ambrosio, originally from the New York area, currently resides in NYC where he works as a freelance musician and educator. He is the co-leader of two collaborative bands, Grupo Los Santos and 40Twenty, as well as being a part of many groups including George Schuller’s Circle Wide, the Matt Renzi Trio, Eri Yamamoto Trio and the BMI/New York Jazz Orchestra led by Jim McNeely.

Always in good company he knows how to bring a lift to a small-group setting. He recently released his first album as a leader, “Gone,” featuring the same colleagues found here: the alto saxophonist Loren Stillman and the drummer Russ Meissner. Come on out for a fantastic night of jazz. At 8:30 p.m., Cornelia Street Café, 29 Cornelia Street, Greenwich Village, 212-989-9319, corneliastreetcafe.com; $10 cover, with a $10 minimum.

See you at the show!
