The Manhattan Transfer LIVE at Blue Note November 6th thru the 9th!!

November 1, 2014

4-members-LOW-RES-640x345Tim Hauser, the founder of this satiny jazz-vocal war horse, died on Oct. 16, briefly raising the question of whether the group could go on. The answer, arriving swiftly, was affirmative: along with Janis Siegel, Alan Paul and Cheryl Bentyne, it now has a Hauser surrogate in Trist Curless, coming from the world of a cappella. At 8 and 10:30 p.m., Blue Note, 131 West Third Street, Greenwich Village, 212-475-8592, bluenote.net; $65 cover at tables, $40 at bar, with a $5 minimum.
Jazz & Pop would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the friends, fans, and family of the great Tim Hauser and share this great performance from 1986. May your soul rest in eternal peace;
